Veraset is a data-as-a-service company focused on privacy-first mobility and location data, founded around 2016 and affiliated with SafeGraph, from which it emerged as a dedicated movement-data business. The company is led by CEO Geoffrey Prince, who has held the role since January 2023 after serving as its VP of Product. Public records list Veraset as a relatively small, privately held team (roughly 11–50 employees), and its own 2026 announcements place the company in Alexandria, Virginia — though third-party directories show conflicting addresses in San Francisco and elsewhere, so headquarters details are best confirmed directly with Veraset.
At its core, Veraset delivers device-level, pseudonymized GPS location data at global scale — roughly 10 billion daily location pings from about 300 million mobile devices across more than 200 countries. Its data is sourced directly from mobile apps, SDKs and leading aggregators, then cleaned and structured into a family of datasets: Movement (foundational raw GPS signals), Visits (visit attribution and dwell time across 4M+ points of interest), Home & Work (locations inferred via machine learning), Trips (origin-destination journey intelligence covering 100M+ trips monthly), and MatchLink for resolving device identity to emails, IPs and households. Privacy is central to the methodology: personally identifiable information is segregated from location data, devices are pseudonymized with non-reversible Veraset Anonymous Identifiers, and the company states it is GDPR- and CCPA-adherent with regular penetration testing.
For delivery and integration, Veraset offers three main paths: bulk flat-file delivery for large-scale processing, API access for automated querying, and Orchestrator — a self-serve mobility intelligence platform launched in March 2026 that lets analysts define locations, extract data across flexible geographies and timeframes, build audiences, and automate recurring workflows without heavy engineering. Data is delivered securely via server-to-server connections directly into clients’ S3 or GCP environments rather than public marketplaces, and supports spatial indexing systems such as H3 and Geohash. Veraset positions these tools for adtech, real estate, retail, finance and private equity, consulting, urban planning, government and academic research, and cites organizations including the United Nations and Madhive among the leaders it works with. Note: exact founding year, original founder, headquarters address, funding and any certifications beyond stated GDPR/CCPA adherence vary across sources and should be verified with Veraset before publication.
