Acxiom is one of the oldest and largest data-driven marketing companies in the world, founded in 1969 in Conway, Arkansas (originally as Demographics Inc.). For decades it operated as a publicly traded company, building the industry’s benchmark consumer database. In 2018, Acxiom sold its Acxiom Marketing Solutions business to the Interpublic Group (IPG) for $2.3 billion; the remaining public entity was renamed LiveRamp, while the Acxiom brand and marketing-data business continued under IPG. Following Omnicom Group’s (NYSE: OMC) completion of its acquisition of IPG on November 26, 2025, Acxiom is now part of Omnicom, where it describes itself as “the connected data and identity foundation” for the holding company and sits within its media capability. Note: Acxiom is distinct from LiveRamp, the separately owned identity company that spun out of the same 2018 transaction.
At its core, Acxiom offers one of the most expansive and compliant data footprints in the industry — spanning more than 60 countries, roughly 2.5 billion addressable consumers, and over 10,000 ethically sourced attributes and in-market signals. Its flagship InfoBase data covers approximately 250 million-plus US individuals across around 167 million households with hundreds of demographic, homeowner, financial, buying-behavior, health-related and interest selectors, complemented by weekly “Hotlines” for life-event triggers (new movers, new homeowners, new borrowers) and an InfoBase Email file of roughly 965 million consumer records. Acxiom builds these assets by multi-sourcing from surveys, purchase transactions, public records, loyalty programs and thousands of data partners, and it operates under an “Open Garden” philosophy designed for interoperability across the broader marketing ecosystem. As a registered data broker, the company emphasizes ethical, privacy-first data use and consumer opt-out mechanisms.
For delivery and integration, Acxiom’s product portfolio centers on Real ID — a connected identity foundation that unifies customer data across channels with more than 10,000 unique insights and now underpins the parent group’s identity graph of about 2.6 billion verified global IDs — alongside its Data and Audiences products and Advisory and Partner services. The company activates data through audience onboarding, data clean rooms, CDP integrations and cloud marketplaces, with deep partnerships across Adobe, Databricks (2026 Databricks ISV MarTech Partner of the Year), Snowflake and Salesforce for AI-driven, privacy-safe marketing. Acxiom serves enterprise brands and agencies across financial services, insurance, automotive, retail, consumer goods, healthcare, travel and hospitality, telecommunications and media, and manufacturing — with a client roster that includes Chase, Citi, Unilever, L’Oréal, Southwest Airlines and Shiseido. Note: as corporate integration into Omnicom is recent and ongoing, leadership structure, employee counts and reporting lines are evolving and should be confirmed directly with Acxiom before publication.
